In the words of some of the amazing families we have served!

Tasha has been my midwife since 2020. After I had my first consult with Tasha after finding out I was pregnant I knew she was the one. Her warm, welcoming energy, along with her passion and knowledge for her profession is what drew me in. My pregnancy was a little complicated in the beginning as I was experiencing a subchorionic hematoma. I was very fearful in my first trimester and very anxious especially being a first time mom. Tasha always held my fears with grace, never did she make me feel like I was being too much or asking too many questions. She guided me and never coerced me into doing things I wasn't comfortable with. I very much so felt like I was the lead on my birth team with Tasha being my professional medical executive, haha! Tasha is a well rounded and integrative Midwife. I wanted my pregnancy and birth to be as holistic as possible but being a Nurse myself I understood and appreciated medical interventions when absolutely necessary. Having Tasha as my midwife helped me reach my birth goal which was to be able to have a non-medicated water birth with minimal intervention. She also guided my partner at the time in catching the baby himself as that was something he wanted to do. Tasha's guidance in nutrition and supplementation during my pregnancy played a huge role in helping me reach my birth goal. My prenatal visits with Tasha were extremely thorough lasting about an hour long. This gave me enough time to have any of my questions answered and concerns addressed. This kind of attentive and knowledgeable care continued to be provided after I gave birth, during my postpartum period. Being a new parent can be exhilarating and intimidating, especially when those primal parenting instincts kick in. Again, with grace, Tasha provided the emotional and educational support I needed as a new mom. This was a crucial part of my baby, his father, and I integrating as a family of 3. With Tasha as my Midwife I was able to have the dream pregnancy and birth I had hoped for. It was one of the most beautiful and surreal things I have ever experienced; I will cherish those memories forever.

3 years later and Tasha is STILL my Midwife today. Instead of going to a Gynecologist I do all my well woman visits with her including pap-smears and bloodwork. I'm forever grateful for the services I have received and continue to receive from Rainbow Midwifery.

Although I had a great Obgyn & good experience delivering my first born at a hospital, I wish I switched care a lot sooner. The prenatal, birth & post natal care were extraordinary.

I was on the 3rd trimester of my second pregnancy when I decided I wanted a midwife & a water birth. More than a water birth, I simply did not want to go to a hospital (even though this was pre Covid-19). From the moment we met Tasha we were impressed by her knowledge, professionalism & genuine care, which made convincing my husband to go along with my plan a little easier. ;) The transition to home visits was extremely convenient & made even better & special that Tasha & Beth were so patient & loving that our curious toddler could join in & hear her little brother's heart beat.

Our due date was early January, but baby decided to come 2 weeks earlier. We were settling into a new home & not ready. But Tasha & Beth were ready & by my side. They never once rushed, pressured or doubted me as the mother, or the process. They went above & beyond every step of the way to provide the BEST CARE for mom, baby & even the support system, as they know they all matter.
Their work continues even after the delivery, they follow up, they check on you and will provide a care that I assure you no hospital or Obgyn ever will.

I'll forever be thankful to Tasha & Beth for their services, their love & support.

I had my first birth in a traditional hospital setting with an epidural and WITHOUT a doula. It was a bad experience, from beginning to end to say the least, so I knew for my second birth I wanted a Doula to be by my side to offset the impersonal treatment and environment at the hospital.
I found Tasha on yelp and interviewed her along with a couple other Doulas. Once I experienced the immensely personal and detailed care that Tasha provides, I decided to go in the complete opposite direction from my first birth. I proceeded to hire Tasha to be my midwife for a home water birth instead of just my Doula.
Nothing compares to having the intimate and personal service of her expertise in your home, without time constraints, without formalities or commutes. With every appointment, she was able to guide me toward growing a healthy baby. I received a plethora of information beyond that of doctor given care. Not only did Tasha provide me with amazing prenatal care, she and her associate midwife were my heroines on the actual day our baby girl arrived.
On the day I went into labor (9 hours total), she came immediately upon notifying her of my first contraction. While the pain of going it old school was excruciating to put it lightly, Tasha created the nurturing environment that was not present in my hospital birth. Somehow I got through to the end. Tasha was able to give me confidence through every phase, by telling me that it was moving along and by helping me move physically into different positions to help offset the pain as much as possible. Tasha's expertise really shined through in the pushing phase and in the minutes that my baby finally descended out. She had trouble taking her first breaths, and Tasha immediately breathed for her (infant cpr) leaving the umbilical chord in tact and us connected until she came to and didn't need it anymore. My daughter was what they call a mermaid baby (when your water never breaks). I had a strong sac and a very big and healthy baby, and I know this was a direct result of Tasha's guidance throughout my pregnancy.
After all of that, you would think her job was over, but her goodness keeps coming. Her postnatal care was something not at all given in the hospital, and it made such a difference in my overall postpartum well being. I felt so incredibly cared for, acknowledged, encouraged, and valued as a human being after such a powerful and humbling experience. These feelings played a huge part in helping me bond with my second daughter in ways that I was unable to do so with my first.
The comprehensive experience of pregnancy, labor and recovery that I was able to have because of Tasha is priceless. I'm still feeling the highs of being able to feel so close and connected to my baby, and I know my baby feels the same, because she is incredibly calm and happy and easygoing. To have these feelings instead of feeling sad and numb towards her as I did with my first child is mind blowing. If I have a third baby, I hope that Tasha doesn't get too popular that there would be a possibility that she wouldn't be able to be my Doula or Midwife again.
